Ivanhoe Cricket Academy

Our winter academies provide a great way for young players to develop their skills and continue improving in the off season so that they are ready to tackle the oncoming challenges of the season. The skills they learn will allow them to push for selection into representative squads at all levels including Premier in the U18 competition, and U16 Dowling Shield, at Sub District Level in U15 Craig Shield and in the VMCU Junior Rep Carnival for those at U13 Level.

Our Current 2025 Winter Academies are well underway with our young athletes showing fantastic progress and commitment to the program. With the help of Full track AI, our amazing coaching team has gained a deep understanding of each players strengths and growth areas in a realistic, game-based scenario allowing them to focus on each athlete effectively.

During our first half of the program we have been able to focus on improving our batters versatility at the crease, including back foot scoring, playing against spin, and power hitting. With our bowlers we have focused on improving their run up momentum to allow for a smoother and more powerful delivery as well and maintaining speed and control through the follow-through, this has allowed for greater consistency and more effective bowling. We have also focused on dynamic fielding which is the biggest key to success on the field
